Bannings at Timebomb

Well folks I have finally achieved my ultimate goal. I have been banned from consorting with the flying pigs of our society. I can't say that I am surprised or even that I am overly dismayed by the act.

We all knew that the denizens of Timebomb hated any voice that didn't believe in chemtrails, massive government conspiracy and the Easter Bunny. They only suffered a few of us because they thought it made them look fair. Either that or we registered before they realized what was happening.

Personally, I believe in the latter theory as both Anita and I were able to register under the guise of all the furor over her losing the snake in the stereo speaker.

Anyway, like I said, no skin off my nose and one less bookmark to keep track of. However, the entire process struck me with an extreme feeling of irony. That would be, how the members of Timebomb attacked and brought down the Wild West, but when they are hassled by some off the wall board they immediately start banning posters indisciminately in order to "save" their version of reality.

Since Timebomb was supposedly Dennis' attempt to "save" the old Timebomb from going down, I find it extremely ironic that the people that are making the decisions to boot people weren't even around pre-rollover. Such is life. And you know what? They still won't get why they look like complete imbeciles.

Congratulations, Cornboy! I, too, have had my account deactivated. It didn't happen until a week after I stated I was leaving, so I figure they thought 'twas me copying and pasting to the "cesspool". Alf was also deactivated.

To be honest, I've been disenchanted with the place ever since Flint [Flintc here now] as FORCED to apologize for something he didn't even do or suffer banishment. I never even forced my kids to apologize!

P.S. Didya get my E-mail about Lawnmower Dave dying? Em went to visit him in the hospital last night. He was only allowed to talk to him for five minutes, but he said it was just like talking to him when he came over here a few days ago. After thinking about that, I said, "What did you talk about?" He said, "Dave mostly told ME what was wrong with him. His liver has shut down, his stomach has shut down, his heart is now 80% closed off, etc." Seems he already died yesterday, but they brought him back. I'm sorry now that I didn't take his picture for you.

Seems we're all moving on in one way or another. Mebbe we can use this forum to keep in touch, eh?

True story, Carlos. I guess I've finally outgrown it? 'tis true that there's a lot of action there, but WHAT KIND? I was never a doomer. Lately, it's just become so SICK that it was hard for me to hone in on the nice people that DO exist there. There are nice people all OVER the web. If I want to make a hobby of talking to nice people online, I can do it elsewhere, methinks.

I am saddened by the loss of Lawnmower Dave, but I will refrain from implying that any fault is yours for not recording his subtle influence on the world in pictoral form. Of course any guilt that you might possibly carry from this incident could be offset by production of visual proof of the Christmas Tree in question at the time that he was introduced to the pitiful remains of the cyber community that exists here.

I hope that you and SO are doing well. The whole concept of you and a job at a furniture store is so overwhelming that I need a chance to compose a proper reply.

Keep the Birkenstocks dry and I will be back to you on that one.

I have been watching the exodus from TB2K, and am curious what got you booted. I am still a member there (long time lurker from 1999 at greenspun to the current incarnation), and I did not see anything that would get you booted. Although, in the current environment, it could have been your relationship with Anita, which would make anyone suspect at TB2K.

Anita, you are one of the more frequent posters, other than Flint, that I have followed on TB2K. The site went down hill after Aleph Null stopped posting.

As far as I can tell, JBT got banned for being considered a "problem child". Satanta happened to mention in a post something to the effect of "mass banning the problem children", whether they had recently done anything to warrant banning or not. And from what I can tell, not all mods were in agreement with the mass bannings. It seems to be a free for all with the mods who are left and they don't have to explain their actions to anyone. Gee, and these same folks want all of us to believe that they have access to "sensitive" info and that they would risk their jobs and families for the good of the board? Give me a break.

JBT and I were accused of causing a ruckus in chat, just because we tried to make people accountable for things they had said. He got kicked, but they never had the guts to kick or ban me...so far (I stopped going to chat back in Oct but AFAIK I am not banned from there). They sure accused me of being "hostile" though. Hmmmmm, hostile because I asked why we should believe them when they tell us NEVER to believe anything we hear on the news, read in the paper or on the net? What makes them more worthy of my trust? Who are the real "sheeple"? The people who supposedly "DGI" or folks willing to believe that anything posted at TB is the gospel truth and that those folks really do have "insider information"? Yeah riiiiiiiiiiiight.

I really wonder how some of those people live with themselves.
